Research-informed
The construct and design draw on published literature. No instrument-specific psychometric claim is implied.
EVIDENCE GOVERNANCE / LIVING RESEARCH REGISTER
Published theory can justify what we investigate. It cannot, by itself, establish reliability, validity, fairness or predictive utility for a proprietary Syntropix instrument.
CLAIMS LADDER
The intended use, population, language, version and decision context determine what can responsibly be claimed.
The construct and design draw on published literature. No instrument-specific psychometric claim is implied.
Items, scoring and interpretation have a documented rationale and may be used for development while evaluation continues.
Used only when version-specific analyses support stated measurement properties, with sample and limitation disclosure.
Reserved for a defined use, population and decision context when evidence supports that exact interpretation.
VALIDATION ROADMAP
Evidence attaches to the exact instrument version evaluated. A redesign, scoring change or new population may require new evidence.
We separate design logic from validation evidence and explicitly track what remains unknown.
Construct map, expert review and cognitive interviewing.
Missingness, item behaviour, internal consistency and uncertainty.
Factor structure, convergent/discriminant relationships and test–retest where appropriate.
Differential item functioning, cross-group and cross-language evaluation.
Only when the intended use requires criterion or incremental validity.
WHAT WE WILL NOT PRETEND
That boundary is especially important for consumer-facing instruments touching relationships, self-regulation, attention or identity.
Uses dimensional relationship research as a design reference. It does not assign a fixed attachment identity or diagnose a relationship problem.
Uses “shadow” as a developmental metaphor. It does not label users narcissistic, psychopathic, Machiavellian, toxic or disordered.
Describes everyday patterns in attention, task initiation and reward responsiveness. It is not an ADHD, autism or neurological screening tool.
With appropriate notice and consent, versioned data can support validation. Until adequate evidence exists, scores remain within-scale developmental descriptions.

RESPONSIBLE SCIENCE
If stronger claims are warranted later, they should be earned by version-specific evidence—not marketing ambition.
